Reintegration of Former Female Researchers

Are You Considering a Return to Your Field after Suspending a Career in Research or Education?

At FResHU, we are planning to launch a human resources registration database that establishes a “Supply and Demand System for Research and Education Personnel” centered on research and education personnel in science and engineering. While public offerings not only of postdoctoral and faculty positions, but also of jobs and posts in a variety of positions relating to education and research, already take place inside the university, it is currently extremely difficult to recruit suitable personnel with specific knowledge and skillsets at short notice.
On the other hand, for those with degrees and a graduate education as well as those having research and educational capabilities, yet who have nevertheless put their careers in these areas on hold for a variety of reasons such as family transfers, child care, or family caregiving, but who if given the chance would like to return to their fields to put their specialized skills to work, it is not always easy to find a suitable place in which to take on an active role. By smoothly and exhaustively coordinating this type of information relating to supply and demand, we are attempting to move proactively toward the effective utilization of superior personnel – and of these potential female researchers and educators in particular.
While registration will not be limited only to female personnel, our primary users will be female researchers who have suspended careers in research and education due to childbirth, child care, or family caregiving, as well as retired faculty members. We plan to not only provide information on substitute personnel for maternity or parental leave, but also to collect and organize job postings for faculty and research positions both on and off campus. By all means, if you would like to make yourself known so as not to miss this chance, we kindly invite you to register with the “Supply and Demand System for Research and Education Personnel.” As a first step, please contact FResHU.
