Hello, today we inform you of two useful seminar by I-HOP.

1. Special Seminar ” Peer Review & Web of Science “(2/5)

This is a special seminar targeted for international reseachers(DC,PD,faculty).
Seminar/Workshop will be conducted in English.

The first session is slated for postdoctoral researchers and assistant/associate professors who are involved with peer review.“Publons” is the world’s largest peer review platform which is utilized by more than 250,000 researchers world-wide with over 1,600 partnering journals.Mr. Andrew Preston, co-founder and managing director of Publons will give us the seminar.

The next 90 minutes deals with the Web of Science, a comprehensive academic database encompassing over 12,000 major journals and academic publications in the field of natural science, social science and liberal arts. Use of the Web of Science will not only improve the efficiency of your research activities but also contribute to a better impact factor of your publications.

2. How to use AI in your research-update on Big Data and AI trends in academia (2/27)

This transferable skills seminar is targeted for researchers (MC, DC, PD, faculty member).
Seminar will be conducted in English.

Big Data and AI have become popular buzzwords in recent years.More and more researchers reach for tools and methods brought by the technological advances of both fields but there are still many misconceptions on what currently can and cannot be achieved.In my talk I will present the latest trends by illustrating them with usage examples from different disciplines. I will also show cases where the expectations were not met and where both fields face ethical problems.
